Referent: Gerald Senarclens de Grancy
Gerald (aka 'santa') is an active contributor to free and open source software since more than ten years. Lately, he mainly worked on the KDE text editing component KatePart and ported the optimization library PuLP to Python 3. Besides that, he occasionally scratches his own itch filing and fixing bugs whenever something's sufficiently annoying. Most recently, this included a fix in W3C Slidy.
Besides FLOSS, he codes for his PhD project about city-logistics and enjoys university-level teaching. Through his lectures, at least some of our future decision-makers get in contact with the potential benefits of open source software. However, his main passion are his daughters Amélie and Marielle.
